I checked the temperature sticker that came with the heater and found that it highlighted 77 and 78. When I checked with my infrared thermometer, both inside and outside temperature said 78. This indicates that the heater is pretty accurate.
The heater keeps the tank at a perfect temperature of 76-78 degrees.
