After testing the heater, I put it in the tank and it has been steady at 78 for the last six hours. I was careful to test the heater first to make sure it was safe for the fish.
I use this heater in my 3 gallon tank during winter and late fall. It keeps my tank temperature between 78-80 degrees, which is 8 degrees above the room temperature.
