I have a powerful cleaner that doesn't get jammed with gravel, filters out debris perfectly, and is well-built.
I have only had the product for a month or so and cannot comment on its durability.
The only issue I have with the product is its messiness while using it.
The design is of good quality, but the pump is extremely noisy with excessive play in the impeller bushings. I don't expect it to last long.

I mostly use this excellent product on an overstocked, underplanted fluval spec 5 gallon. It is too big for this tank, but it gets the crap out. The suction power is excellent.
The product effectively sucks dung and chunks of shed turtle shell from the bottom of the tank for water changes.
The vacuum works extremely well and takes a lot of effort out of cleaning my aquarium.
The 6 watt motor in this unit has just the right amount of suction and did a great job of pulling the garbage out of the gravel.
