About AQQA Aquarium Gravel Cleaner Kit
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
68% appreciated its long-lasting construction, but 32% experienced premature wear.
I have noticed that the unit gets clogged easily, affecting its durability.
I found that the plastic outlet was of cheap quality and weak, causing it to leak everywhere.
After 8 months of use, my cleaner's motor died.
69% praised for its ease of cleaning, but 31% found it required frequent cleaning.
Cleaning three aquariums has become much easier with this product.
It took me some time to figure out how to clean the tank, but once I did, it was easy to clean.
I found that the product is not effective in cleaning fine sand in the aquarium as the weight of the sand washes through the filters, leaving the poop and debris on the outside of the filters instead of passing into the bag.
The only con of this gravel cleaner is its small screening bag, which is hard to clean out.
69% found it easy to operate and maneuver, while 31% had difficulty navigating tight spaces.
I like this gravel cleaner and find it easy to use, making aquarium cleaning easier.
I found the product easy to use for cleaning the tank and collecting debris and algae. It was also easier to clean the bag instead of taking out the fluval filter and cleaning it again. I am very happy with the product and it picks up a lot of gank.
I can adjust the valve to change the flow depending on the job, such as decreasing it for filtering sand and increasing it for pure cleaning.
Using the scraper attachment has been a failure as I cannot turn the handle far enough over to scrape the sides.
69% praised for its exceptional cleaning performance, but 31% found it struggled with stubborn debris.
The pump has strong suction and the assembly is straightforward. It can vary the height of the sock or the gravel suction pickup, making it suitable for a 10-gallon tank and still working well on a larger tank.
The suction power is fantastic and I save an unreal amount of time.
The product is not effective in cleaning aquarium gravel. I tried every attachment to pick up small bits of carbon media, but it would not work. It is not recommended unless suctioning the slightest of debris, maybe enough to suck up algae once its been scraped off.
65% liked its quiet operation
There is no issue with suction, which implies that the noise level is also fine.
62% liked its safety features, such as automatic shut-off, but 38% found the feature unreliable.
I suggest securing the hose to the tank or bucket as it is uncontrollable.
66% liked the compact storage design, but 34% found it too bulky.
Using this product is much easier than hauling buckets of water.
I did a partial water change in 2 tanks and I am happy that I bought this product.
The product is not suitable for cleaning sand as it will immediately start sucking up the sand too.
The only drawback of the product is the small bag for screening, which is difficult to clean out.
I suggest including extra sponge filters for the attachment pieces as the ones included are washable and reusable but will eventually break down in the future.
