To make the aquarium-decor-background stick and appear vibrant, I suggest brushing a thin coat of vegetable oil onto the back of the aquarium and then applying the backing. There will be bubbles that appear black and one needs to take a credit card (or straight edge) and carefully scrape off the bubbles by dragging the edge of the card across the back of the product.
