The weight of the ammunition-magazine-pouches around my waist is manageable. They are loaded with 12ga slugs and it's a good amount of weight to carry.

At first, it takes some real effort to load shells because the fit is extremely tight. But once you let them sit, it becomes easier to load them. It's important to have a tight fit, otherwise the shells would fall out when shooting.
The fit of the ammunition-magazine-pouches is too tight for most people, but I found it great. 'Tight is good' for avid shooters, as I mentioned.
