I have a secret to make the Vandoren V16 alto saxophone reeds last longer. Soak the reed in your mouth for 5-10 minutes, place it on your saxophone and play longtones for 30 minutes, allow it to sit for about ten minutes, and then play longtones for about 30 more minutes.
