I am impressed with the Mac Mini's 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU, which make it powerful enough to handle high-resolution video editing, gaming, and multiple productivity tasks, all packed into such a small box.
The new MacMini has a 10-core CPU instead of a 5-core, but has the same specs as the old one.
Even though the main processor is M2, the SSD read/writes will slow me down.

I use my desktop primarily for print design and art. I get silky smooth responsiveness, no problems with my calibrators and graphics tablet, and I am able to leave apps open and switch between them.

The 2023 model has fewer peripheral connections than earlier models, but I can easily configure the two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports with hubs to provide more HDMI, USB-C, and USB-3 ports, including a USB Audio input.
I have Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 ports on my Mac mini which ensures lightning-fast data transfer speeds and allows for a wide range of peripheral connections.
