I was able to test the ease of cleaning of this car seat when my 1-year-old got sick on the same trip. I practically dismantled the car seat by pulling off all of the fabric to run it through the hotels laundry. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but I was able to take all of the fabric cover off (despite the warning labels not to do so), ran the fabric through a hand-wash cycle, and let it dry overnight, and was able to reattach the cover in its entirety including buckles without a problem.
The car seat is easy to clean, travel with, and secure into the vehicle.
It's easy to take apart and wash the all-in-one-car-seat. It's way easier to clean than the previous Graco infant seat I had. I've done it a lot since my son is a puker and so far it washes well.
