About Coway Airmega 400 Smart Air Purifier with 1,560 sq. ft. Coverage, White
Overall Feedback:
71% positive
85% were satisfied with the size and portability
The filter provides phenomenal filtration for a space of approximately 600 sq ft.
I bought a Coway Airmega 400 for my living area and it was a huge improvement. I keep the 250 permanently in my bedroom, so not having to drag a purifier around is a nice cherry on top.
The air purifier is compact yet powerful and suitable for rooms of various sizes, including larger areas up to 1,560 square feet.
95% appreciated the quiet operation
I like the noise level of the air purifier. There is hardly any noise unless I cook something that produces smoke or run my essential oil diffuser nearby.
When smart mode detects pollutants in the air, the sound adjusts up to the highest level which can be somewhat loud. However, I can manually adjust it to stay at the lowest level if I dont want any background noise.
On the lowest level, the sound is soft and has not been distracting during my daily routines.
Even at higher fan speeds, I can enjoy my surround sound without any disturbance as the noise level remains minimal.
I usually run the air-purifier on level 3 at home, which creates a smooth white noise to filter out some of the neighbor's odd noises. When I leave, I boost it to level 4 to catch any violations while I'm gone. The highest setting is quite loud, but it's nice to have the extra horsepower when needed for clean air 'now'.
At level 2, the noise is livable and acts like a background white noise generator. Level 1 is quiet and silent mode is extremely quiet.
The noise level of the air-purifier ranges from 22db - 52db depending on the mode of operation. I find it slightly noisy during intensive cleaning, but otherwise, it goes unnoticed.
80% liked the filtration efficiency
The air purifier has a True HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens, pollutants, and fine dust.
The filters are of high quality, multi-stage and can easily suck up smoke, most smells and dust.
78% highlighted the energy consumption
The air purifier has a smart feature that automatically activates sleep mode to reduce noise and power consumption.
The air-purifier saves electricity, prolongs filter life, and promotes a quiet environment.
I have noticed that the air purifier has an energy-efficient design and runs quietly while consuming less power.
The air purifier runs quietly and consumes less power with an energy-efficient design.
92% were satisfied with the coverage area, however, 8% weren't
After using the air purifier for 2 days, my house has zero smell and the air is noticeably clean and dust free.
The coverage area of the air-purifier is 1560 sq ft, whereas the listing mentions 1256 sq ft.
I found that the air-purifier did not cover our living/dining area of 650 square feet.
The unit blends in well with the white background and does not call attention to itself, although it is quite large.
