About Tymate Tire Pressure Monitoring System M7-3
Overall Feedback:
69% positive
78% praised for its accuracy, while 22% experienced inconsistent results.
I was surprised by the accuracy of the pressure reading, which was within 3-5 psi, and that's good enough for me.
After putting more air in my tires, the beeping stopped and the pressure reading was accurate.
The sensors displayed different pressure readings than the actual pressure.
83% liked the timely alarms and notifications, but 17% found them too frequent.
I had an experience where the TPMS alarm saved the day by detecting a pressure drop in one tire, which was later verified to be accurate. This led to the discovery of a hairline crack in the wheel causing a small pressure leak. I am convinced that without this TPMS, I would have never known about the leak until it had caused more drama on my road trip.
I had to adjust the alarms as the factory defaults were low and they kept going off on high pressure.
I wish to set the high alarm at 90+ psi instead of 87, as I receive high pressure alarms during the summer.
85% liked the long battery life
I like using the TPMS all the time because of its low profile on the dash and the convenience of recharging itself with a solar panel.
79% praised for its universal compatibility, but 21% experienced issues with their specific vehicle.
I faced difficulties installing the TPMS on dual wheel valve stems with limited access to the valve stem.
One of the sensors did not agree with the other three, even though they should have read the same tire temperature after being in the garage all night. It's hard to believe with differing temperature measurement.
83% liked the reliable wireless connectivity, but 17% experienced connectivity issues.
I couldn't pair 3 out of the 4 sensors with the main unit.
74% found it easy to install
I found the installation of the tire pressure monitor system very easy, completing all 4 tires in just a few minutes.
The installation process was easy. All that was required was screwing the sensors onto the valve stems and using the tacky pad to hold the monitor onto the dash.
I found it easy to install the TPMS on my 27ft travel trailer and had no leaks after spraying them down with soapy water.
77% appreciated the quality material
I checked the pressures with a certified gauge and found the transmitters to be accurate within 2 psi.
88% praised for its wide accuracy range, but 12% experienced issues outside of the specified range.
After installing the sensors, the sensor signal range from the trailer to the truck seemed to be just fine.
All four sensors were inaccurate, with two of them off by as much as 15 and 26psi. This created a dangerous situation as one sensor read 50psi when the actual tire pressure was 76psi, exceeding the tire's max pressure rating.
During our journey, the sensors eventually paired but failed to update the temperatures and pressures.
81% appreciated the clear and intuitive display
The screen of the tire pressure monitor is easy to read and shows only necessary information without distractions while driving.
I found it easy to follow the directions for setting the sensor alarms for high and low tire pressure and high tire temperature. It also has a low battery indicator.
I discovered a slow leak in one of my tires. It took 2 days for enough air to leak out from a high of 33psi to 29psi and alert me that the pressure is at 29psi.
