The problem has been resolved as the tape is now on the correct side.

Loading the adhesive-transfer-tape into my pink Scotch ATG was very difficult. I had to fiddle with it for a long time and realized that the tape was pulling away from the backing improperly. Once I got it loaded correctly, it worked fine, but the process of loading was very painful.
