I have had batteries leak and believe that all brands will leak at some point. However, Duracell stands behind their product when it leaks, while others do not.
I received a battery packaging that was not suitable for retail and looked like it might have been exposed to moisture.
The container was not sealed and the opening part was bent, indicating it had been opened or repackaged.
The packaging is bulky and difficult to open, but it prevents the batteries from draining in storage.
