The batteries have awesome longevity. I have been using them daily for my Xbox controller for several days without needing to change them.
Amazon alkaline batteries drained within 40 hours of service, while Duracell AAA alkaline battery lasted for ~80 hours.
If the batteries don't leak in the box, they can still damage your remote control or other device.
Chinese batteries are much brighter and last 10 times longer than Rayovac batteries.

I noticed that the batteries worked well initially, but then they started not lasting as long as they had.
In the garage door opener, these batteries only last two weeks, while others have lasted 4-6 months.
The batteries don't last as long as they used to. I am getting 1/4 to 3/5 the life I used to get and have to change remote batteries every 2 months instead of 6 months to a year depending on the remote.
Rayovac lasted for 24 1/2 hours and was the big winner.
