I am so happy that I can open my windows without the wind blowing them out. It was easy to measure for fit and will be ordering more to fix the rest of the windows.

It was the right fit and it worked great to replace the originals.

I was very pleased with the way it worked.

    Like it very much.

    FAQ

    Q:

Do I need tools if I already have a slot cut in the window?

    A:

When I did mine, I think the old one needed to be gently tapped out with a screwdriver and small mallet or hammer and the replacement may need to be gently tapped in so you don't break the little tab off, but nothing too extreme.

    Q:

What is the thickness of it?

    A:

These are a 1/2 to 1/3 of an inch thick and are specifically cut and shaped to slide into position.

    Q:

What is the difference between this model and the slide co window mortise tilt latch?

    A:

They are the same item packaged in different ways.

    Q:

Is there a window track that has tentioners?

    A:

I'm not sure what you're asking for, but they are locks that allow the window to open to the inside for cleaning.

    Q:

Is it a metal version of the plastic ones that get brittle in sunlight and then when it's opened the window pivots and smashes it's glass?

    A:

There are metal/die-cast ones out there.
