With the coating on the rim and tube, it was easier to make sure the tips of the pry bars wouldn't pinch the tube.

It would be very difficult to do because of the length of the bars, works great on lawn/all terrain vehicle tires, and would suggest taking your tires to a tire shop and have them changed and balanced.
