The white balance is close to that of the Nikon SB900s, but I'm not sure if it's better with the flash head or not.

It does not work with slave setting; I have PocketWizard remotes which need PC connections and this has the PC jack, it is consistent and I have had to use it for room lighting, portraits and food.

The ability to pull out the fresnel from the zoom head is a huge plus, even though it's not certain whether anyone makes zoom heads manually like the old Vivitar 285, but the fact that you get a zoom range of 18-180mm is a huge plus.

It is great for photographers who need it for a hobby as well as those who are professionals, because it's very easy to keep up with flashes which are much more expensive.

After a few months of using the flash on my a7III camera, it's still going strong, I never take my camera anywhere without it.
