The wood is finished in a way that doesn't leave splinters, which is something I don't have to worry about.
The 120 spool holder was perfect because I owned so many spools of thread, it was easy to find them next to each other.
I do my reviews in compliance with the FTC and Amazon's policies, but I never guarantee a positive review.
This was built with nails and not the stapled ones from JoAnn Fabrics & Craft store, it's a great purchase and I'll be getting the serger thread holder.
My plan is to use the skipped pins as bobbin holders so I can keep the same colored bobbins together, that alone should save me a lot of time.
Question & Answers
Is it possible that this could work with large cones of thread?
You have to go every other peg even with the medium cones because no pegs are long enough.
Is it possible to put a spool of ribbon on these dowels?
There isn't much space between the dowels and most ribbon spools wouldn't be able to be placed on them.
Do you have the size from left to right? I want them to go back to back to back, to store two or three upright in a cupboard and to pull out and roll it up.
The spool holder is 2 feet by 3 feet with 2 inch spool spikes that hold the thread.
Will balls of perle cotton embroidery thread fit?
I looked up your perle cotton embroidered thread fit ball and it was pretty much the same as before.
Are the spool dowels strong enough to hold a set of car keys?
I am very happy with the quality of this product, but I use it for thread and don't remove the spools too often, where keys will be removed daily.
