The Milescraft R/A driver's depth is only 3/8", which leads to a bit more wobble than I like, but support of the chuck by hand when starting holes takes care of that, and this particular problem originated from the fact that the driver's depth is only 3/8".

I can use the chuck in my Impact driver for general purpose drill use, without having to carry a separate drill when I'm away from the shop, because there is very little wobble with the shaft fully seated.

I used a Jacob's chuck for this Heavy Duty tool, it has a lot of mass with it and it has a ball bearing under a metal band instead of wire.
