If its a smooth feeling, accurate to within.00001 chuck, I don't think you would ever look at Amazon to purchase this product.
I have been using this chuck for a long time on a small farm and I think it is better than the original chuck that came with the drill press.
It is described as big and heavy, fit is good, no noticeable slop in the chuck, will take up a small amount of space on a small lathe, so keep that in mind.
I ordered this one instead of the one that was sent the wrong way. The chuck dropped right in and with a few taps of a rubber mallet it was seated perfectly.
I need to replace a chuck on an older Craftsman drill press and I think the new one is as good or better than the old one.
