  • What users have to say about Brita Stream Rapids Water Filter Pitcher, Carbon, Large 10 Cup, 1 Count

The regular pitcher filters are good for 40 gallons, but they are only about 30% more expensive than the Stream filters, and they remove only 1/3rd of the pollutants the regular pitcher does.

I can't tell a difference between Clear2O and Brita because I don't have a purity meter, but I can only trust the claims of Brita.

It takes longer to pour out water, seems that its propitiatory filters, so I prefer this right now to my previous Brita filters in that I can fill it up and use it immediately, keep it out on the counter and not worry about running out of water.

I like the design of the water filter, it's small, but it pours out slowly, so I think it works for me.

The top level in each model held about a quarter as much water as the bottom level, so you had to wait for the water to filter through the top into the bottom and then refill the top at least 3 times before the bottom was full.

    FAQ

    Q:

What is the purpose of it, just chlorine and odor?

    A:

It helps reduce the amount of chlorine, copper, cadmium and mercury found in tap water. See the User's Guide for more details.

    Q:

I bought 2 leak, but I can't figure out where they are.

    A:

I had a similar problem, the gray stuff is a SEAL to keep water in no matter how the pitcher is positioned.

    Q:

How long does it take to pour the water?

    A:

The water taste good, but it takes a while to pour out and it takes a while to fill back up.

    Q:

Does the pitcher have to be kept in the fridge?

    A:

We recommend keeping the Brita Stream Cascade Pitcher refrigerated because sunlight and warm temperatures can contribute to algae growth. If you prefer keeping it unrefrigerated, we recommend placing it in a cool area out of direct sunlight.

    Q:

Is there a battery to support the refill indicator?

    A:

We don't have replacement batteries for our pitchers, so please contact us at 800-24BRITA if you need assistance.
