  • Question & Answers

    Q:

Can you tell me what watt is this equivalent to in an incandescent bulb?

    A:

I tried to look up the information on the Sunlite website, but it's very hard to say. According to their website, their bulbs are much brighter than this.

    Q:

    What wavelength are these bulbs?

    A:

I wouldn't use them for darkroom photography development or other such endeavors because the wavelength isn't listed.

    Q:

    Are they dimmable?

    A:

I just tested this light and it is not dimmable.

    Q:

Does the orange light bulb have blue light?

    A:

Since they are not full spectrum, it can be hard to discern the color of objects at night.

    Q:

Can they be used outside as porch light?

    A:

White light at night is bad for animals and contributes to sky glow, so you see fewer stars.
