We have many Sengled smart bulbs in our home and they work well, so it was a no-brainer to replace Kasa's color bulbs with flood ones since they do not offer flood for whatever reason.
I like the color of the bulbs and they are easy to program. I am not sure if there are other brands with more intense colors, but I am pleased with the color from these bulbs.
It was pretty easy to install, but I needed to get some phone support when I connected the hub to the light bulbs.
If you don't have a hub, every single bulb must talk directly to the hub.
They can be used in white mode with a >60 watt bulb, but they do not perform as well with the color bandwidth.
Question & Answers
Is anyone using these in recessed lighting?
I have all my kitchen lights and patio lights that are these.
Are these bulbs energy saving?
The multicolor LEDs use less energy and can save up to 85% on your energy bill.
Does the bulbs work with my fire tv cube without the hub?
I wouldn't buy these again just the ones that work with an app, as we have a hub for the ones we have.
Can these lights change colors automatically?
They don't strobe, there is a way to set them up to go off and on a scheduled timer, and what color you want them to be.
Does the BR30 bulb require a wall switch?
It's pretty easy to install a smart wall switch. Just screw in the old light bulb and you're good to go.
