The bulbs are easy to set up and pass through to other smart home systems if you want, but I haven't tried it with other smart home systems.

I installed a Kasa app- connected outlet for an ambient light strip that is only on at night and I have been so impressed with it that whenever I see a new Kasa product, I get it.

There is a color wheel to choose your shade and hue, as well as a set of buttons to choose brightness, and you can change one or both at the same time.

A year or two ago, I installed a Kasa app- connected outlet for an ambient light strip that is only on at night and I have been so impressed with it that whenever I see a new Kasa product, I get it.

The light bulb looks the same, although it is heavier than a similar-sizeLED bulb.

    Question & Answers

    Q:

Is it possible to group them together in a ceiling fan with 4 bulbs to turn all off at the same time?

    A:

You can use the Group feature in the app to control four Kasa bulbs at the same time.

    Q:

Can it flash in random colors?

    A:

I wasted my time trying to replace my Treatlife bulbs with Kasa, and now I'm reading trying to make a scene and groups.

    Q:

Is it possible to control it with a raspberry pi?

    A:

The best way to access the API is through the Kasa App or cloud interactions with Amazon, Google or Samsung SmartThings, however some people may try to use it through 3rd party.

    Q:

Will it work in a lamp that is on a nightstand?

    A:

You can either use the app to control it or a device like an Amazon.

    Q:

Will a light switch or timer turn on with the same color and brightness settings as when you turn it off?

    A:

I tried other bulbs that didn't work, but these KASA dimmable, color setting bulbs retain the last setting even if the power switch feeding them is turned off and then later turned back on.
