I purchased these only a few months ago, so I can't speak to their longevity other than I have had zero failures by now and am using 7 every day.
The warm bulbs give that perfect cafe glow. I ordered the warm in 2700k lumens because I read that it was exactly what I wanted.
The "retro" lights from Sylvania were beautiful, but they were too warm for our purposes and we have other light sources in our house.
The bulbs only last about 2 years, so I decided it was time to get a new one, and these led lights look great with the light off and put out great light when on.
The operation is cool, can keep your hand against the glass when on, and the brass collar between the glass and threads is a nice touch.

When I look at bulbs that are off, they are not clear, but the "orange" filament color is not as orange as it looks, but you can see the filament.

The sleeve should fit in a sleeve of 7/8" ID because the OD of the threaded base of the bulb is 1/2".
