  • What users have to say about Bushnell Golf Tour V5 Rangefinder, Black

I bought this one a few months ago and thought it was decent, but I didn't like how bright the display was and I thought it was slow picking up targets, but I played it last week and I think it's better than I first thought.

I had an older version that was slower to respond and the magnet on the side hasn't let me down yet, especially on some bumpy cart paths and bumps found on the fairway.

I bought this for my husband at Christmas and he loves it, it's very accurate and it's a magnetic one that holds it to the side of the golf cart.

The slope feature seems to be accurate as I have tested it against a variety of slopes, and I can start developing a feel for guessing it on my own.

The laser will still pick up the smaller branches even if the pin is behind some twigs or thin branches.

    FAQ

    Q:

How do you turn off the slope function during tournament play?

    A:

When you slide the button backwards the red portion will disappear and this is the tournament function which will not show.

    Q:

Is the slope function worth it extra money? It has an advanced function that gives you a different yardage than other bushnell finders.

    A:

The slope function isn't worth it if you live in a part of the country where all your golf courses are flat.

    Q:

How is it with landmarks, bunkers, water and other things?

    A:

It works well at anything I aim at for distance.

    Q:

Is there a cover available for Patriot?

    A:

I purchased the patriot pack with the tour V5 shift version of the range finder.

    Q:

Does it take slope into account?

    A:

It is tournament legal if slope is turned off, and the Tour V5 "Shift" model can be used in tournaments as well.
