Only sharpen the side of your knife edge with the serrations. 2. Hold the rod at a 23-degree angle to the blade and move it back and forth through each serrated edge until sharp. Repeat steps 1 through 3 until the blade is sharpened. Do not rinse with water; do not wash with soap and water if you wash your hands after using the pocket pal.
