The hooks are heavy duty and come with lots of screws for fastening into different surfaces. I just wanted the small U hooks and the large J hooks and that's exactly what I could order, in the quantities I needed.
I chose to make my own and the ones they provided looked adequate so I saved them for future use, but I can be OCD and use the same fasteners as other things in the garage so the look is uniform.
They are easy to install and are great for holding outdoor tools when we hang up the rest.
The rubber coating is bigger than I thought it would be.
These hooks are an excellent replacement for the shoddy rail systems I have used before, and they are very easy to mount, with no plastic parts to fail.

A:
The bottom of the U-shape protrudes a hair beyond 2 3/4" when mounted on a wall.

My drills, shovels, rack, weed whacker, leaf blowers work well.

A:
It's 5/8 to 1/3".

The insides should fit most home mop and broom handles, about 1".

They work great, that is how I mounted it.
