  • What users have to say about Amazon Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) with Alexa Voice Remote (includes TV controls) + Star Wars The Mandalorian remote cover (Bounty Blue)

I love my Firestick and it has a new menu system that makes it easy to access all my favorite apps, and the stream quality is amazing, but if you are on a data budget, you can even lower the quality.

I told Amazon to remember my password, and it did, even though I didn't attach it to my network. updates worked in the background, and while it slowed the system down a bit, it was reasonable.

The new remote is a great update to the prior generation and I think it's a good choice for older users.

The 4k firetick is amazing and can explain the lag between apps, but you will not be able to register this purchase. The 3rd Gen runs Android 9.0, which explains the speed increase.

The 3rd generation is 50% more powerful and you can tell it's better by how you navigate. This is probably the biggest reason to upgrade from Gen 2.

    FAQ

    Q:

Why is the release date April 28 and the shipping date May 24?

    A:

I pre-order said arrive May 24, than saw it if I order April 28 and then reorder it May 13, so cancel the old order and try to get it May 13 if I don't get it May 6.

    Q:

Which is better, the 4K or the 3rd Gen?

    A:

The 4K stick is on sale for less than the 3rd Gen.

    Q:

Will it support full 4k and HDR content, or is it only on the 2 Gen?

    A:

The 4k is beautiful and runs on a newer version of the OS, but the 3rd and newer firestick is still running the older version of the OS.

    Q:

Is it possible to increase the memory capabilities of this device by adding an additional memory card?

    A:

I have 11 movie apps on there, along with 3 browsers, which include chrome, penguin, and opera.

    Q:

Is it possible to re-map the app buttons?

    A:

I tried it with this one but it didn't work, so you can remap the buttons on the fire tv itself.
