I needed to find out all the do's and don'ts before I applied it, so I did that on the cheap found it in the trash texsport tent.
I have used this product on tents, fishing waders, and even repaired holes in jackets with it. I also did emergency repairs on two tents damaged in a tropical storm.
I put the Seam Grip in the freezer and use a piece of kitchen plastic wrap over the opening to screw the cap on.
It won't be very useful once the seam is dried, so I put it in the freezer and then run it under a hot water tap.
I would squeeze out less than you think, and it will still flow out nicely even though it is thick.
Question & Answers
Does it stick to the nylon fabric of my waterproof jacket?
I've done a lot of waterproofs, but I hate Seam Grip Sealer, it just never dries, and after months and months it's still sticky.
Will it work on the camper's seams and be able to spray with water after the sealant dries?
Seam Grip Sealer is a failed product that apparently gets positive feedback from people who are delusional or in some way connected with marketing it, although it never dries.
Can this product be removed later? The seam seal needs to be removed from time to time.
No, it is permanent.
Will it work on a big agnes q core sleeping pad?
I wouldn't use it on any area that comes in contact with your skin while you are using the sleeping PAD.
How many linear feet of tent seam could you seal with one 8oz tube?
I brushed the seam sealer in with the supplied brush for my tents, but I use Seam "Grip" for gluing patches and for applying on the top of an inflatable mattress to keep from getting wet.
