I have been using the amazing E-6000 fabric glue for the past two years and it has been a lifesaver for me, especially when I have a hard time with scissors or sharp objects in my hand.
I received this in order to fix a few things that I wanted to fix, and I think it works well for fabric... I read a few reviews that said it wouldn't work for them, but for me it was fine.
This stuff works better than E6000 to me, and I ordered two of these and OMG because the seller here disappointed me and never sent my E6000.
I used the disposable watercolor brush to spread the glue on the back of the letters, and they stuck.
The leather has held up even with the thicker socks and much more force required to get the boot on.
Question & Answers
I believe the iron on patch is peeling off and I don't know if this will work to glue it back on.
Pull the patch off a little more, and be very carful with this Aleene's glue, it is very runny. Squeeze out just enough, Once you glue right up to the Edge of the Patch Press firmly, it's better to put something heavy on it.
Does this glue degrade the backside of plastic gemstones and give them a "cracked" appearance, like E6000 does?
I have used this Platinum Bond Adhesive for many costumes for my children and it does not cause plastic gemstones to degrade or have a cracked appearance.
Does the fabric stiffen after being applied?
It's flexible but I used it to reglue patches on jeans that were coming up.
I am creating an advent calendar and wonder if this glue will work for attaching velcro to felt.
It will be affected by whether you use a non-sticky backing on the Velcro or a sticky one, and it is possible that the chemicals in the two different glues would react adversely to each other.
Does this glue work well on fabric and plastic for one of those blow up bed on the seams?
I use "Coghlan's Airstop" vinyl repair for a blow up bed, which includes on seams.
