Hello, Some specialty paints formulated for painting plastic will adhere with a weak bond that can easily be scratched or flaked off when the tape is bent or folded, so if the tape is left undisturbed on a flat surface, the paint has a better chance of sticking.

Does this tape come with both sides? I need waterproof tape to hold down ada shower water barrier.

We don't have a double sided tape that we could recommend for this application.
