What users have to say about GoPets Dematting Comb with 2 Sided Professional Grooming Rake for Cats & Dogs
This brush is so soft and easy to clean, I have tried many different brushes for my German Shepherd, including the notorious furminator, but I think this one got out more undercoat hair than any of them.
I didn't want him to go to general anesthesia as he was a senior cat, but I bought this product and it came out just in time.
He has a double coat, and this is all undercoat, so I think it is a bit gentler on the mats, even though he still didn't like the process.
My son is 3 years old and since I got him I have always brushed his coat and usually spend a long amount of time brushing his hair but the other brushes were not very good at what they do and this one brushes out his undercoat taking out little mats that other brushes don't
I have a grooming brush that I use to brush my hair, but it clumps up all over the house and car, so I decided to try the grooming rake.
blades that will have to be replaced, can they become dull?
I have two Maine coon mix cats that love this type of grooming tool, and they have never gotten to the super matted phase, but a small one now and the under arms as far as I'm concerned, there is no cutting, think of it and gently pulling the disconnected mats
Will this work, with lots of mats close to the skin?
It took more than one brushing to get them out, but it did get them out.My Onyx only had mats on his chest and under his fore-legs, and they were close to the skin, so it took more than one brushing to get them out.
Is there a razor within the comb that will cut off the mat or do the mats come out by an untangling action?
I was very pleased with this comb, until I noticed that it pulled my cat's hair out.
Does this rake need to be replaced blades?
No. If you have problems with it, we will make sure you're taken care of. Just reach back out to us and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
Will this be able to get stubborn mats out behind the ears of Australian Shepard?
If you use large teeth and comb very gently, do not rake in a fast harsh manner so the dog is injured.
