What users have to say about Cuisinel Cast Iron Skillet with Lid -
It has a smaller handle for easier weight distribution and it comes with a heat-protective, detaching Silicon grip, making it great for camping or outdoor cooking.
If you don't already know about the book on Amazon, you can find it there, but be sure to check out the duck breasts recipe in the section of recommended products.
I think Silicone grip is more difficult to use than it is worth, and I don't like using potholders or oven mitts when cooking with a cast iron skillet.
We had a stove in our new place that was not set up for household use, but it was the best cooking lesson I have ever had.
If you want to make eggs or something that won't stick to the bottom of the pan, seasoning cast iron pans is a great way to do it.
Can I buy the lid separately? I already have the skillet and I need a lid.
We sell a lid separately for this skillet, please search our brand on Amazon for it.
What is the length of the handle on the pan?
It's 4 3/4".
Can the food be fried in this pan?
It's great for deep frying, fries, wings, chicken lots of items.
Is there a difference between pre-seasoned and seasoned?
If it's pre-seasoned, this is already done. coat the pan with cooking oil and heat it in the oven for an hour.
I am interested in the 8” pan for eggs and breakfast, but how are most people doing this?
I washed it with dish soap, then dried it with cloth, then put it in a warm oven for a few minutes to make sure it was dry.
