What users have to say about The Original Silverette Silver Nursing Cups. Made in Italy
I wear them all the time, and sometimes they leave a ring around the nip, but it is not terrible, as long as you are wearing a bra.
When I was helping my midwife with the latching issues, she offered to give me a special ointment to apply to my nipples, but I was warned that it might be expensive and we would have to go to a compounding pharmacy.
I wish I had the nipple cream and gel pads for my last two breastfeeding journeys, because the price is a steal compared to what I paid for them last time.
I noticed that my nipples weren't as sensitive within 1-2 days, but I attribute that to the Silverettes covering my nipples, and preventing them from rubbing against my nursing pads after each feed.
I have been using these for the past 4 days and they have made a huge difference in the way I think about my nipples, 4. Not magic but definitely helping, I was hesitant to give up the lanolin/nipple butter to use these but honestly pretty big gamechanger
FAQ
The price is up by almost 14 since they were on my registry.
The Silverette Team has been keeping the price the same for almost 8 years. The lower price is for counterfeits, not original Silverette.
I have a areola size of 2 and a cup size of B, but I don't know what size I should get.
These are only one size and meant to cover your nipple and a portion of your areola.
Does it work with flat or inverted nipples?
There is no need for Silver to be in close contact with the skin to work its magic.
Can I put the cream on the cups to speed the healing process?
It won't hurt but I don't think it will speed the healing process because it's essentially like using an antibiotic on top of an antibiotic.
I'm wondering if I can use these to heal some cracks while I have nipple thrush.
If you are using any ointment to treat the thrush, finish that first and then go back to Silverette.
