    I have saved a lot of milk and have a great frozen supply just from these. I like that they don't cause any problems and that I wouldn't have to pump anymore because I already have enough milk.


    I got these because I remembered how raw my nipples would feel in the first week after my milk supply was established, and it was much better than using a disposable breast pad.


    After I wore them, they allowed my breasts to heal immediately, even though I had a loose shirt, bra, breastpad, and cooling gel pad against my nippers.


    I use these breast shells for when my baby is drinking and they have held 2 ounces of milk so far. Its only been a few weeks in use but so far they have held 2 ounces of milk with no spill.


    It's good to save me milk throughout the day and wear a soft nursing pad, but it's not good to bend over or jump, it will leak or spill milk.

    If you want to wash them, place them in the dishwasher. I boil them for 15 minutes and let them dry.

    They only want to protect the nipple and collect milk, and would fit in any nursing bra.

    Is it possible to use these while sleeping?

    If you sleep flat, the milk will leak out and you should not bend forward to pick something off the ground.

    Is it possible to save the milk that leaks into it or dispose of it?

    A:

    The same rules apply to the leaked milk as pumped milk. I put it in the fridge and wash the shells daily.
