I am very pleased with my first mat I bought, which is still in use and in excellent condition, and I love this bathtub mat, because it covers the entire length of my bathtub.
The mats that we have are stuck in the tub and can't be washed, so they get funky from the mold that grows on the underside of the mat.
This is the best shower mat I have ever used, it is so easy to use, and it fits in the tub, I use it for my 13 month old granddaughter who loves taking showers, and her mom can't get her to sit down for a bath.
I'm pretty satisfied with the cup, it's in place, my feet seem to find good use out of it, and it doesn't need to be cleaned yet, it doesn't seem to have too many places to hold dirt.
The mat is functional, but after using it for two or three times, it becomes difficult to pick it up.
Question & Answers
What kind of material is used to make this?
It is toxic to manufacture and deadly if it burns, so don't use it.
Does this help with taking a bath? I don't do showers anymore because of a back injury. Does it feel okay sitting on it?
I don't like taking baths.
Is it possible for it to be put in a washing machine?
It is possible to wash the mat with warm water on a cold/gentle cycle.
Is this mat resistant to mold and mildew?
They recommend that you dry the mat out after every use, because the cups on the mat can stick to the tub well within 4 hours and after a shower, there will be some hair and shampoo under the mat, which may cause mildew and influence the suction.
I have washed, washed again, and left the mat outside for a few days, but it still has a horrible chemical smell. Any suggestions?
It smelled like plastic, but was gone after 1 to 2 days, so we just showered on it.
