I used a pair of unfurnished screws to attach the screws to the wall and a second pair to fill the lift-out reservoir for soap.
We have owned both the dual and triple dispensers for many years and they still work well. We found ourselves in need of a single one and looked online but they were no longer carrying this size.
The middle hole and bottom hole are not the top and bottom holes, as far as I can tell.
I recommend putting it under the shower head to reduce the water flow over the unit.
