I had to remove the tie rod from the Sierra to make room for R&R on the front differential, but I didn't damage the seals, so I used a loaner puller from O'Rielly.

The tool was replaced by Orion Motor Tech within one day, and I was able to get a full refund the next day.

This was a great job, as the piece was rust welded tight and it was easy to get the job done.

I chose the replacement kit which I hope will hold up better then the last one. The customer service dept was quick to address my issues. I will buy from them again just because I know they are willing to stand behind their product.

I used the pitman arm pull for the top ball joints and the long armed ball joint pull for the lower ball joints, and a few sharp blows to the head, to break the ball joints loose on a 92 D250 with a 4k axle.

    Question & Answers

    Q:

Will this work on my Dodge 3500 diesel 4 wheel drive?

    A:

Yes. Most dodge tucks work on my 06 front end.

    Q:

What size sockets does this use?

    A:

I went into my garage and found that the set requires 17mm, 19mm and 22mm sockets, depending on which puller you use.

    Q:

Would this kit work on an 01 Chevy Blazer 2 door?

    A:

I've used this set for several different years of chevy trucks, and it should work well.Be sure and oil the screws before you use them or it will eat the threads out of the aluminum.

    Q:

Will they work on the 06 Jeep Wrangler?

    A:

It is possible to make sure whether it is compatible with your vehicle by looking at the jaw opening and pull travel of each part.

    Q:

Is it possible to pull off tie rod ends without damaging grease boots or caps?

    A:

I had to remove the grease zerts to get a proper bite with the puller, but I had success removing tyrod ends without damaging the rubber caps or boots.
