  • Question & Answers

    Q:

The gauge face shows the unit in psi, while the temp-pressure mapping appears to be F-psig.

    A:

The gauge reads zero when disconnected, which means it is definitely PSIG/TempF. The P-T chart for R-134a is fairly accurate to within around 3 degrees F, as far as I can tell, which means it is definitely PSIG/TempF.

    Q:

I don't want celsius, but the pictures show f and the third bullet point says it's celsius. What is the truth?

    A:

They have the Fahrenheit scale on them.

    Q:

The pins are similar to tire valve pins, but under what circumstances should they be removed from the ends of the hoses?

    A:

I think these are extra valve cores in case one goes bad.

    Q:

Is it possible that these low loss fittings are?

    A:

If you purchase this product, you will get: 1 pc 3-way HAVC freon gauge (1/4" male), 3 pc hoses (1/4" female), 2 pc quick couplers (1/4" male), and 1 pc ACME adapter.

    Q:

Did anyone actually use it on their home A/C?

    A:

I had this set returned because it couldn't be used directly with my home A/C.
